"Very Poor"
Staff are very friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was good although service is slow (but this is everywhere in Tanzania, Pole Pole as they say). Roof top view where breakfast is served is very nice. After all the room change arounds we had a pleasant stay. Good location for Stone Town, just need some updating and maintenance then this could be a GREAT Hotel. Seems like there is new management, so hopefully they will solve these issues for future guests.

The breakfast was both ample and of reasonable quality served in an exceptional environment in the open rooftop garden. The staff were willing and able and were typical of the usual high standard of hospitality that Zanzibaris are justly famous for.

Great great position in the heart of stone town and only 100mt from Freddy Mercury museum, shops and restaurants. Roof top restaurant is the best you can find in town as the view is incredible. Room was clean, with TV, telephone and WiFi. Thank you to all receptionist for the help with my flight problem.

The location was perfect wouldnt have wanted to be anywhere else. The staff were amazing, truly made you feel at home, so welcoming and helpful and really went above and beyond. Would highly recommend and if there and have any issues or request at all trust that the staff will rectify and deliver. Also, try the spa next door I had foot massage and aromatherapy message and included the feet and head Tanzanian massage which was an extra treat and a uprise to me and great prices. as why I went back for another treatment. Thank you to all you all.

Room was OK, rooftop is great, good view. Staff was friendly but a bit slow. Everyday they spray for mosquitos and do a turndown service.

Its Nearness to the beach, and the kitchen staff were very good and friendly. The food was good and well prepared. In particular there were two ladies who were very good, Eunice and Queen. They deserve special mention.

We had a wonderful experience at the horizon palace. Fresh juice and cold towels on arrival. The rooms were nice, big and airy. The facility is Very central and at the heart of stone town Zanzibar. The staff were amazing, willing to help, readily available and ever smiling The roof top restaurant is the icing on the cake. The view From up there is fantastic. Not forgetting the food, nice sushi rolls and cocktails good service too. Will definitely come back.

Really good breakfast ordered the night before and ready the moment I sat down in the restaurant which is on the roof top where the view is breathtaking. Friendly and always available staff, extremely clean and elegant rooms, with incredible furniture. Impeccable overall service. I recommend it to everyone, I also had the opportunity to dine with a spectacular Sushi menu.

The view from the roof top is something incredible, clean place and room, very spacious room and so confrontabile. Staffs very kind and I suggest to everyone to don't miss few night in this fashionable hotel

Staff seem well-meaning but that is certainly not enough to operate a hotel. If you want to be in the heart of Stone Town, this hotel/motel is at the heart of it.

The rooms are big, air-conditioned, cleaned twice per day and sprayed regularly to avoid mosquitoes. There are also two complimentary bottles of water every day. The staff is friendly and helpful

The Hotel was close distance to lots of walking places and near the beach also. The beds were clean and with comfortable mattresses - not too hard. The air conditioning was fabulous and we were so thankful for it as February was HOT! We had a kettle in the room through you had to boil drinking water as the tap water tasted like salt when boiled. The fridge was wonderful for a family of five. Showers were good although in one bathroom the shower floods the floor for a bit. I really wished there were bath mats but they appeared on our third day which helped to mop up water on the floor. The rooms were spacious and it was nice to have the suitacase racks. Breakfast was a vast choice with lots of drinks and food to choose from. The staff kindly made sure my kids managed to get pancakes every morning. The view from the roof was lovely and breezy. It was a perfect location for the first part of our trip.
